Kissinger Pays Tribute at Angel of Ahlem Screening

The Documentary Institute recently hosted a private screening of its latest film Angel of Ahlem at New York’s Lincoln Center. The film, which follows World War II soldier Vernon Tott’s search for survivors he photographed in 1945 at a slave labor camp outside Hanover, Germany, was introduced by former secretary of state Henry Kissinger. Kissinger, who served along with Tott in the Army’s 84th Infantry, told the audience, which included 12 Ahlem survivors and their families “I’m very proud of the film.”
