Bike Tour Guide Michael Blakley

When bike tour guide Michael Blakley, 32, first visited Berlin, it was for a three-day stay. Four years later, he spends six months a year here, three months in Paris, and the colder months in his native Florida. He says that the low cost of living paired with the abundance of resources is what draws him to Berlin. Although Paris is very proud of its past, he says, Berlin is looking toward the future, and is constantly changing after reunification. When giving bike tours, “A certain personality...comes out. It’s like tapping into your inner 8-year-old.”
