BERLIN JOURNALISM STUDY-ABROAD MAY 2017 PARTICIPANTS
	TYLER WILLIAMS -- Hello Everyone! I'm a second year student pursuing a dual degree in Theatre and Telecommunication Production. I'm originally from Jacksonville, and have always had a passion for videography, photography, theatre and the arts. I've traveled to Europe once before, but have never visited Germany. I'm very excited to get to meet all my new classmates and experience the culture and atmosphere of Berlin!
	MACKENZIE PATEL -- Hello! I am a second year accounting and art history student from Treasure Island. I’ve been to Europe several times, and this is my third visit to Germany. I’m a prose writer (i.e. Huffington Post, The Crocodile), but I want to learn photography as well. I can’t wait for the delicious food and interesting subjects this summer.
	AMANDA ROSA -- Hi! My name’s Amanda and I’m from Miami Beach. I’m a second-year Journalism major. I’m really excited to study abroad for the first time. I love writing and painting, but I have never taken a photography class before. I can’t wait to learn more about Berlin culture and to explore the city.
	KIERSTEN CLARK -- Hey! My name is Kiersten Clark and I am a third year telecommunications major with a minor in history. Because it is my last summer before I graduate, I've finally decided to make the decision to study abroad and I can't wait to see what's in store. I've never been to Europe, so going for the first time is in itself exciting!
	GABRIELLE CALISE -- Hi guys! I’m a third year journalism major with an interest in multimedia storytelling. I am primarily a writer but I also love photography, videography and coding. I am very excited to travel abroad for the first time and I am really looking forward to experiencing Berlin’s art and history!
	COURTNEY DUPREY -- Hello everyone! My name is Courtney and I am a third year telecom production major from Ocala. I have only traveled outside of the country a couple times on cruises, so I am extremely excited to spend a couple weeks in Berlin. Throughout my entire life, I have always had a passion for photography and videography and I think this is a perfect way to understand and capture the beauty of Berlin. I also cannot wait to meet everyone and enjoy this experience together!
	JESSICA FINKEL -- Hi everyone! I am currently a second year student studying public relations and sustainability studies! I'm originally from Lake Worth. I've never really been out of the country and I'm so excited to study abroad for the first time! I've always had a passion for photography and writing, but I've never had a chance to take a photography class. I can't wait to study the history, art and food in Berlin! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone soon!
	ANA STANIC -- I'm Ana and I'm a third-year journalism major. Croatian, born in Germany and grew up in Clearwater. This study abroad trip is an opportunity to learn to tell stories in another new way, and I can't wait to explore Berlin with everyone.
	CARTER FISH -- I'm a senior majoring in Media and Society. This is actually the last class I'll be taking before I graduate, so I'm really excited to leave UF on this exciting note! I'm so anxious for this trip because I haven't been out of the country since I was 15 (Italy!) I started taking photos my freshman year of high school, and travel photography has come to be one of my favorite aspects of the art. I can't wait to learn about the history and upcomings of Berlin, and get immersed in the culture as well!
	KAITLIN HALL -- Hi! I'm a junior journalism major with a minor in international development and humanitarian assistance. I have never been to Europe and I never thought I would have the opportunity to study abroad, so I'm beyond excited for this trip! I like to take pictures of my dog but I can't wait to take a break from that and photograph Berlin. Can't wait to meet all of you!
	GREGORY GORNEY -- I am from Jupiter, Florida. I am a junior at UF and a Public Relations major. I am passionate about golf, the ocean and college football. For the past three years I have been lifeguarding up here for UF. I am very excited about the opportunity to travel to Germany and see what their culture is like. Photography is one of my favorite things to do in my free time.
	MADISON HINDO -- Hi everyone! I'm a first year journalism and political science major from St. Petersburg. I've been to Europe twice now and I'm always looking for a reason to go back. I've never been to Berlin though and I'm excited to get the chance to explore a new city with new people!
	MORGAN JOHNSON -- Hi everyone! I am a third-year journalism major with a focus in environmental issues. I am originally from Bowie, Maryland, but I grew up right here in Gainesville! I am really passionate about the environment and hope to spread the word about these important issues through multimedia. I’ve never been to Europe before, so Berlin will be my first time traveling into the Eastern Hemisphere! I am so excited to share this experience with everyone and I hope to improve my photography skills while I’m there!
	ELLIE DRABIK -- My name is Ellie Drabik and I'm a second year Journalism major from Atlanta, Georgia. I've traveled abroad before but never to Europe so I'm super excited about this trip! I'm looking forward to exploring Berlin and learning more about photography with all of you!
	LUKE BLACKMAN -- I'm a sophomore majoring in international studies and French. I'm from Chevy Chase, Maryland and have lived in several places in Europe when I was younger. I'm passionate about tennis, and studying new languages and cultures. I've always been interested in photography so I'm really looking forward to this program!
	MORGAN BLAKE -- Hi! My name is Morgan Blake and I am finishing my last semester at Santa Fe to complete my AA in graphic design. I then plan to transfer into the PR program at the University of Florida! This is my first time traveling to central Europe and I’m so excited for the chance to do it in a big group. I love photography and am really excited to meet some of the locals!
	TAYLOR THAYER -- Hi there! I'm a junior at UF majoring in public relations. This trip will be my first time traveling outside of the U.S., so I'm really excited. My personal experience in photography comes mostly from taking pictures for the professional social media accounts I manage. During this trip, I'd like to build on that experience and improve my ability to tell stories through photography. I can't wait to get to know new people and a new city!
	ANDREW STANFILL -- I’m the teaching assistant for this year’s trip to Berlin. I’ve been on the trip on three other occasions, twice as a TA and once as a student. I’m excited to return and guide another group around both the city and their cameras. Each time I find something new and special about Berlin, and I expect this year to be no different. I am a photo editor for The New York Times News Service, and an independent photojournalist who represents industry members on the board of the National Press Photographers Association.
	JOHN FREEMAN -- I'm the professor taking the group to Berlin. This photo is from my first experience living in Germany, when I was in the second, third and fourth grades in Rodenbach, near Ramstein Air Force Base. (I've grown some since then.) My father was later assigned to Berlin, where I graduated from high school.  I'm a real sucker for nostalgia, and look forward to returning to this fascinating city for my 13th study-abroad trip.
