MARCUS WILSON --
Hello everybody! I am a third year advertising major with a
minor in entrepreneurship from Atlanta. While my focus is not photo
journalism, I’ve always been fascinated with the impact that photography has
on our modern society. My emphasis in advertising is digital production, so
I am looking forward to learning new skills that could help me in my career.
I’ve traveled to Europe multiple times but I’ve never visited Germany, so I
am very excited about this new adventure.

Hello! I am a second year history and journalism major from
Jacksonville. I've been to Europe a few times and studied abroad last summer
for a history program. I love traveling and I have never been to Berlin so I

STEPHANIE STRICKLAND --
Hello everyone! My name is Stephanie Strickland
and I am a first year journalism student. I enjoy incorporating photography
into my work because of the impact a single photo can have on the value and
design of a story. Outside of the classroom I enjoy mountain climbing and I
have hiked over 10 miles of the Appalachian Trail. This trip will be my
first trip outside of the continental United States and I am excited for the
opportunity to learn photography while gaining a cultural experience.

KELLEY
MARTIN --
Hello! I am a junior majoring in Applied Physiology and
Kinesiology on the Pre-OT track. I’m originally from Miami and moved to
Gainesville to try to figure out what exactly I wanted to do in life. I have
a huge passion for photography and love to travel any chance I can so having
the chance to study abroad in Berlin sounds like an amazing opportunity to
pick back up on a passion I have let drift away from me. I am excited and
nervous about being pushed out of my comfort zone, and I am excited to meet
everyone!!

Hey Guys! I am a freshman here at the University of Florida
and am currently still an exploratory student. I’m from St. Petersburg and
have lived there all my live with a consistent interest in travel wherever I

entertain my current attraction to PR as a potential major and career

Hello
everyone! I am a sophomore currently studying journalism and preparing to
pursue an additional major in English. I am from Winter Park, which is a
slightly smaller town just outside of Orlando. I have always enjoyed
writing, but photography is another recent interest that I pursued last
semester during the intro level photojournalism course. Although I love
travel and have explored much of the U.S., this study in Berlin will be my
first time venturing abroad. I hope to expand my photography skills and
portfolio, while also getting to know Germany and all of you! |

CHRISSY VOLTOLINE --
I'm a sophomore majoring in sports
and media journalism. I have played sports my entire life which is why I
want to pursue a career that revolves around them. My dream is to become a
sports reporter, but I have been dabbling in all parts of the industry
including writing, producing and broadcasting. I am excited to add
photojournalism to that list! I have been to Germany when I was six, but I'm
ready to return and apply all of the knowledge I have learned since then. I
can't wait to meet you all.

GREGORY
FLOREZ --
Hallo! I’m a third-year journalism major
from Eagle Lake, Florida. I’m a bit late to the show, but what I lack in
punctuality I make up for in unapologetic enthusiasm. When I’m not in the
library studying, I’m either reading, drawing or shopping for obscure vinyl
at the local record shop. This will be my first time abroad, and I am
excited for the opportunity. Berlin is such a fascinating city. To be able
to document it with photographs is simply thrilling. See you soon!
Bis

JOHN FREEMAN
-- I'm the
professor taking the group to Berlin. This photo is from my first
experience living in Germany, when I was in the second, third and
fourth grades in Rodenbach, near Ramstein Air Force Base. (I've grown some
since then.) My father was later assigned to Berlin, where I graduated from
high school. I'm a real sucker for nostalgia, and look forward to
returning to this fascinating city for my 14th study-abroad trip. My family
thinks that red hat belonged to my twin sister, but no one remembers why
I'm wearing it.
