PUR 4103: Visual Communications

This course helps close the gap between the wealth of visual experience and our ability to analyze visuals and use them strategically and ethically in organizational public communications. Through study of visual theories and popular images with messages, you’ll learn how to better “see” and compose visual messages. You’ll also participate in a visual-workshop environment, learning to observe, critique, photograph and write about persuasive and strategic visual communications--both mediated and material (billboards, posters, graffiti, storefronts, displays, etc.).   Requires a digital camera.  Open to PR undergraduates and graduate students.
