Bismillah is an IDA Nominee
Bismillah: In the Name of Allah, produced by 2007 graduates Jolene Pinder and Sarah Zaman, is a nominee for the IDA/David L. Wolper Student Documentary Achievement Award. One of the most prestigious student awards, this $1,000 cash prize is presented annually to recognize exceptional achievement in non-fiction film and video production at the university level and to bring greater public and industry awareness to the work of students in the documentary field. This is the second year in row that a DI film has been considered for the Wolper award. IDA will name the finalists in late October and will announce the winner in an awards ceremony is in Los Angeles on December 7th.
